AAU ODL Admission 2025 - Short-Term Training & Certificate Courses
The Directorate of Open & Distance Learning (AAU-ODL), Assam Agricultural University, has opened admissions for various short-term training and certificate courses starting from March 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the AAU-ODL official website from 20th February 2025 to 5th March 2025.
These online courses are designed to enhance the careers of learners and professionals by addressing the needs of a wide range of individuals, including farmers, entrepreneurs, rural women, and unemployed youth. The courses aim to provide knowledge, skill development, and employment opportunities across different sectors.

AAU ODL Courses Available
AAU-ODL offers two types of courses:
Short-Term Training Courses
- Waste Recycling and Vermicompost Production Technology (1 month) - Class VIII passed, Fee: Rs. 2,010
- Honey Production Technology (1 month) - Class VIII passed, Fee: Rs. 2,010
Certificate Courses
- Packaging Technology of Fruits & Vegetables (6 months) - 12th passed, Fee: Rs. 7,510
- Bakery & Confectionery Products (6 months) - 12th passed, Fee: Rs. 10,010
- Research Methodologies and Data Analysis (3 months) - B.Sc. or M.Sc. in any Biological Science/Life Sciences/Social Science, Fee: Rs. 6,010
- Pig Farming (3 months) - HSLC passed, Fee: Rs. 7,510
- Fishery-Based Integrated Farming System (3 months) - HSLC passed, Fee: Rs. 6,010
Course Structure
All classes will be conducted online through platforms like Google Meet. The courses will be supervised by a Course Director. Additionally, learners are required to undergo in-campus practical training:
- Short-Term Training Courses: 3-7 days
- Certificate Courses: 10 days
Self-learning materials (SLM) will be provided, and upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a certificate. Attendance in the practical training sessions at Assam Agricultural University is mandatory.
Application Fee
- Short-term Training Course: Rs. 110
- Certificate Course: Rs. 210
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on the eligibility criteria outlined for each course. A list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the AAU-ODL website. After the list is released, shortlisted candidates must pay the course fee online to confirm their admission. The payment link will be provided after the shortlisted candidates' list is published.
How to Apply for AAU ODL Admission
- Visit the AAU-ODL application portal.
- Scroll down to the Important Web-Links section and click on the Online Application Form link.
- Log in using your Gmail account to fill in the application form.
- Provide your personal and educational details and upload the necessary documents.
- Pay the application fee according to your category.
- Submit the form and take a printout for reference.
The final list of shortlisted candidates will be posted on the AAU-ODL website. Afterward, they will need to pay the admission fee via the provided online payment link.
