The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar has issued an official notification for the recruitment of 23 Non-Teaching Posts across various departments. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official NIT Silchar recruitment portal.

Post-wise Vacancy Details

1. Registrar – 1 post
   Qualification: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade ‘B’ on the UGC 7-point scale from a recognized University/Institute.

2. Librarian – 1 post
   Qualification: Master’s in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5/10 and consistently good academic record.

3. Assistant Registrar – 1 post
   Qualification: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
   OR
   Existing employees in the post of Superintendent (SG-I)/Private Secretary with required service experience.

4. Hindi Officer – 1 post
   Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi or English with the other subject as compulsory/elective or medium at graduation level, or equivalent qualification as per notification.

5. Superintendent – 1 post
   Qualification: First Class Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in any discipline from a recognized university.

6. Junior Hindi Translator – 1 post
   Qualification: Same educational requirements as Hindi Officer.

7. Senior Technician – 3 posts (1+2)
   Qualification:

   • 10+2 with Science and at least 60% marks

   • OR 10+2 with 50% and one-year ITI

   • OR Class 10 with 60% and two-year ITI

   • OR Diploma in Engineering in relevant field

8. Technician – 4 posts
   Qualification: Same as Senior Technician.

9. Junior Assistant – 7 posts (3+4)
   Qualification: 10+2 with minimum typing speed of 35 w.p.m. and proficiency in Word Processing and Spreadsheets.

10. Senior Assistant – 3 posts
    Qualification: Same as Junior Assistant.
