The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a recruitment notification for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Examination 2025. A total of 357 vacancies are available. Eligible candidates are invited to apply online.

  • BSF: 24
  • CRPF: 204
  • CISF: 92
  • ITBP: 04
  • SSB: 33

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CAPF Recruitment

  • Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India. However, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan may also apply with the Central Government's written consent.

  • Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible for the Assistant Commandant post.

  • Age Limit:

    • Candidates must be between 20 and 25 years of age as of 1st August 2025. In other words, candidates must have been born between 2nd August 2000 and 1st August 2005.

  • Age Relaxation:

    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • Civilian Central Government Servant: 5 years

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.

  • Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the physical and medical standards prescribed for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Examination, 2025, as specified in the official notification.

Application Fee:

  • UR/OBC: Rs. 200/-
  • Female/SC/ST/PwBD: Nil

Payment Mode: The fee can be paid through Visa, Master, or RuPay Credit/Debit Cards or via Internet Banking of SBI.
