Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy MR Recruitment

For the 02/2025 Batch: Candidates should be born between 01 Sep 2004 to 29 Feb 2008 (both dates inclusive).

For the 01/2026 Batch: Candidates should be born between 01 Feb 2005 to 31 Jul 2008 (both dates inclusive).

For the 02/2026 Batch: Candidates should be born between 01 Jul 2005 to 31 Dec 2008 (both dates inclusive).
Marital Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible for enrollment as Agniveer. Agniveers are not permitted to marry during their four-year tenure.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from Boards of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

Selection Process for Indian Navy MR Recruitment
The selection process for Agniveer (MR) includes two stages:
Stage I: INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test)

The first stage is an all-India computer-based examination conducted to shortlist candidates.

Syllabus: The question paper will cover two sections: Science & Mathematics and General Awareness, based on the 10th standard syllabus.

Negative Marking: One-fourth (0.25) marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.
Stage II: Written Exam, PFT, and Recruitment Medical Examination

Candidates shortlisted from the INET will be issued a call-up letter for Stage II, which includes a written examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and Recruitment Medical Examination.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Standards:

Male: 1.6 km run in 6:30 minutes, 20 squats, 15 push-ups, 15 bent knee sit-ups

Female: 1.6 km run in 8 minutes, 15 squats, 10 push-ups, 10 bent knee sit-ups

Recruitment Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify the PFT will undergo a medical examination. Only those found medically fit will be included in the merit list.

Merit List: The merit list will be based on performance in the Stage II written exam, subject to qualification in the PFT and medical examination. The merit list will be prepared on an all-India basis, and it will be available on the official website https://agniveernavy.cdac.in.
