The Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam has announced a recruitment notification for the recruitment of 445 Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) vacancies under the Directorate of A.H. & Vety, Assam, Guwahati-3. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply.

Category-wise Vacancy:
- UR (Unreserved): 258 posts
- OBC/MOBC: 100 posts
- STP (Scheduled Tribe Plains): 41 posts
- SC (Scheduled Caste): 32 posts
- STH (Scheduled Tribe Hills): 14 posts
Pay Scale:
- Pay Band: Rs. 14,000 - 70,000
- Grade Pay: Rs. 6,200 plus other allowances as admissible.
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: Candidates should not be less than 18 years of age as of 01/01/2022 and more than 40 years as of 01/01/2025.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (Science) with Biology as a subject.
- Additionally, candidates should have completed the examination in elementary knowledge of Veterinary Science (One Year Training Course) from the recognized "School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry" established by the Government of Assam at Ghungoor, Silchar.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be in sound health, both mentally and physically, and free from any organic defects or infirmities that could interfere with the efficient performance of their duties. A medical examination will be required before appointment.

Application Form: Candidates must apply in the standard form as per Part IX of the Assam Gazette, along with the required testimonials and a self-addressed envelope with a stamp of Rs. 5/- for communication.

- Submit the application physically in the Drop Box at the Directorate during office hours or by Registered Post, on or before 18th March 2025 (5.00 PM).
Photograph: Affix one recent photograph (signed) in the space provided on the application form, and attach another photograph with the application.
Documents: Candidates should submit self-attested copies of certificates/mark sheets (no attestation required from authorities) along with the application.
