The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a recruitment drive to fill 558 Specialist Grade–II positions (Senior & Junior Scale) across various regions under ESIC on a direct recruitment basis. Interested and eligible candidates can apply offline by submitting their applications to the prescribed address.
Vacancy Details
1. Specialist Grade–II (Senior Scale)

No. of Posts: 155

Pay Scale: Level-12 of Pay Matrix; Initial pay of ₹78,800/- (7th CPC)
Plus DA, NPA, HRA & Transport Allowance as per rules -
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on 26.05.2025
Relaxable by 5 years for ESIC employees and Government servants
Eligibility Criteria:
-
A recognized medical qualification as per Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Postgraduate Degree in the relevant specialty (see official Table A).

Minimum 5 years experience in the specialty after PG Degree.

Language Proficiency: Must have passed middle-level exam in the official language of the concerned state or possess working knowledge of it.
2. Specialist Grade–II (Junior Scale)

No. of Posts: 403

Pay Scale: Level-11 of Pay Matrix; Initial pay of ₹67,700/- (7th CPC)
Plus DA, NPA, HRA & Transport Allowance as per rules -
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on 26.05.2025
Relaxable by 5 years for ESIC employees and Government servants
Eligibility Criteria:

A recognized medical qualification as per Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Postgraduate Qualification in the required specialty (refer Table A).

Experience required:
-
3 years for Postgraduate Degree holders

5 years for Postgraduate Diploma holders

Language Proficiency: As above, candidates must pass a middle-level exam in the state's official language or demonstrate working knowledge.

Exempted Categories:
Women, SC/ST, PwBD, Departmental Candidates (ESIC employees), and Ex-servicemen. -
Note: Contractual/adhoc/part-time/tenure employees must pay the application fee.
