The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar has issued a notification for the recruitment of 47 faculty vacancies in various departments. The positions include Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply online.

2. Associate Professor

3. Assistant Professor Grade-I

   • Pay Scale: Level 12 [PB-III with AGP INR 8,000.00 (6th CPC scale)]

4. Assistant Professor Grade-II

   • Pay Scale: Level 10 [PB-III with AGP INR 6,000.00 (6th CPC scale)]

Eligibility Criteria:

Application Fee:

• General/OBC Candidates: ₹1,200.00

• SC/ST/PWD/EWS Candidates: ₹600.00

The application fee must be paid through the SB Collect portal at State Bank of India by following these steps:

1. Visit SBI Collect Portal

2. Select ‘Educational Institutions’ as the category.

3. Choose ‘Assam’ as the state.

4. Select ‘Online Fee collection account NIT Silchar’ as the institution.

5. Choose ‘Application fee for Faculty Recruitment 2025’ as the payment category.

6. Fill in the required fields and complete the payment.

   • Log in using the registration details and fill in your personal and educational information.

   After submitting the online application, candidates must send a signed hard copy along with the following documents:

   • Credit point summary sheet.

   • Self-attested copies of certificates (age proof, educational qualifications, experience, etc.).
