Indian Army has officially released a notification for the recruitment of Agniveer GD (Women Military Police) under the Agnipath Scheme. This recruitment is for female candidates who wish to join the Indian Army as a soldier. The last date for online application submission is 10th April 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates should be between 17 years 6 months and 21 years old. Candidates born between 1st October 2004 and 1st April 2008 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.

Age Relaxation: The upper age limit will be relaxable up to 30 years for widows of Defence personnel who have died in harness (as of the date of joining training).

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed Class 10th/Matric with at least 45% marks in aggregate of five basic subjects, with a minimum of 33% marks in each of those five subjects. For boards using a grading system, grades equivalent to percentages will be considered.

Special Criteria for Indian Gorkha Women: They can apply with just a Class 10th simple pass.

Other Criteria: Candidates with a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License will be given preference for driver positions. Widows, divorced, or legally separated women without children can also apply, provided they meet all other eligibility criteria.

Chest Expansion: Must have a chest expansion capability of 5 cm.
Special Physical Standards: Candidates from the following regions will be given a 4 cm height relaxation:

Examination Fee: An application fee of ₹250 is required, which can be paid through internet banking, UPI, payment gateway, Maestro, MasterCard, VISA, Rupay cards (both Credit and Debit) of all major banks.

1st Year: Rs 30,000/- (In-hand: Rs 21,000/-)

2nd Year: Rs 33,000/- (In-hand: Rs 23,100/-)

3rd Year: Rs 36,500/- (In-hand: Rs 25,580/-)

4th Year: Rs 40,000/- (In-hand: Rs 28,000/-)

Exit after 4 years: Rs 10.04 lakhs plus accrued interest

Life Insurance Cover: Rs 48 lakhs
