Assam Police Admit Card 2025
The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has issued several recruitment notifications for 5,563 vacancies across different departments, including Assam Police, APRO, Assam Commando Battalions, DGCD & CGHG, the Prison Department, and the Directorate of Forensic Science. The online application process for these posts was completed between October 5 and November 1, 2023.

Now that the application process has concluded, the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Trade Proficiency Test (TPT) for Grade IV Staff and Safai Karmachari positions will begin from February 5, 2025, marking the start of the selection process.
Candidates who have applied for these posts can download their admit cards once they are released by SLPRB.
Assam Police Admit Card Details
The vacancies include posts such as Boatman, Constable (UB & AB), Driver Constable, Grade IV, Havilder, Safai Karmachari, Sub Inspector (SI), Sweeper, and others. The recruitment is being conducted by the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam. The driving tests for Driver Constable, Constable (Dispatch Rider), Constable (Handymen), Constable (Messenger), etc., will begin on March 10, 2025 at the 1st Assam Commando Battalion, Mandakata, North Guwahati.
Admit cards for these tests will be available from 11:00 AM on March 4, 2025, until 12:00 PM on March 9, 2025. After this period, the admit card download portal will be closed. How to Download Assam Police Admit Card?
To download the Assam Police Admit Card, candidates need to:
- Scroll down to the Important Web Links section.
- Click on the Assam Police Admit Card Link.
- Enter your Application Number, Name, and Date of Birth (in YYYY-MM-DD format).
- Click on the Download Link.
- Your admit card will appear on the screen. Save or print it for your reference.
Candidates must bring a hard copy of the admit card and a government-issued photo ID (such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, or Voter ID) to the examination center.
Vacancy Details for Assam Police Recruitment
The following is the vacancy breakdown for the Assam Police Recruitment:
- Assam Police: 144 Sub Inspector (UB), 1,645 Constable (UB), 2,300 Constable (AB), 58 Boatman, 654 Driver Constable, 54 Grade IV, and 30 Safai Karmachari.
- APRO: 7 Sub Inspector (Communication), 204 Constable (UB), 1 Constable (UB), 2 Constable (Dispatch Rider), 2 Constable (Messenger), and 2 Constable (Carpenter).
- Prison Department: 1 Nurse, 2 Laboratory Technicians, 4 Teachers, 2 Craft Instructors, 1 Tractor Operator, and 2 Safai Karmachari.
- Directorate of Forensic Science: 3 Sweepers.
- Civil Defence & Home Guards: 2 Havildar.
Selection Process of Assam Police Recruitment
Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates will be required to undergo a Physical Standard Test (PST), where their height, weight, and chest (for males) will be measured. There will also be preliminary checks for conditions like knock knees, vision, color blindness, flat feet, and physical deformities. Those who pass the PST will proceed to the next stage.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The PET consists of the following events:
- Race:
- Male: 3200 meters in 14 minutes.
- Female: 1600 meters in 8 minutes.
- Long Jump:
- Male: 335 cm (3 attempts).
- Female: 244 cm (3 attempts).
- Chin Up (Male candidates):
- Candidates will be awarded marks based on the number of chin-ups they perform, ranging from 10 for 4 chin-ups to 20 for 14 chin-ups.
Candidates failing to meet the standards in any event during the PST or PET will be disqualified from the recruitment process.
- Race:
Written Test: After completing the PST and PET, candidates will be selected based on merit and called for a written test. The written test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions on subjects like:
- Elementary Arithmetic
- General English
- Logical Reasoning / Mental Ability
- Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy
- General Awareness and Current Affairs
The total marks for the written test will be 50, and there will be no negative marking. The question paper will be available in Assamese, Bodo, Bengali, and English.
