The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Competitive Examination (Preliminary) 2024 (APSC CCE 2024) for the recruitment of 289 vacancies. The APSC Combined Competitive Examination (APSC CCE) is one of the most prestigious exams conducted by APSC. It is held for the recruitment of various Group A posts such as Assam Civil Service, Assam Police Service, Superintendent of Taxes, District Transport Officer, and others.

Other Criteria for APSC CCE Exam

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Regional Language Proficiency: The candidate should be proficient in Assamese or other official languages of the state or any tribal languages of Assam.

Residentship: Candidates must be original inhabitants of Assam.

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates should be registered with a District Employment Office in Assam.

Small Family Norms: A declaration regarding "The normal Family Norms" in Form-A should be submitted at the time of applying for the CCE (Prelim) Examination.

The Digital India initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) allows APSC to launch its Online Recruitment portal with the help of CSC-SPV, which will charge a processing fee of Rs. 47.20 from each candidate (including Rs. 40 + 18% tax).

Selection Process of APSC CCE Exam
The Combined Competitive Examination consists of two successive stages:

The Preliminary Examination consists of two objective-type multiple-choice question papers of two hours each.
