RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 – Notification Details
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the recruitment of approximately 32,438 Group D/Level 1 vacancies under various zones. The recruitment is being conducted against Advertisement No. CEN 08/2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official portal before the last date, 1st March 2025.

Pay: Pay Level-1 of the 7th CPC, starting at ₹18,000/- Basic Pay.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 36 years as of 1st January 2025.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
- PwD (OBC): 13 years
- PwD (SC/ST): 15 years
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th standard or hold an ITI or equivalent qualification, or a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Application Fee
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Female/Transgender/Minorities/Economically Backward Class: ₹250 (Refundable upon appearing in the First Stage CBT).
- Others: ₹500
Refund:
- Candidates from the exempted categories will get a full refund of ₹250 after the exam.
- Other candidates will get a refund of ₹400 from the total paid amount of ₹500.

- Visit the RRB Recruitment Portal.
- Click on "Online Application Form" and complete the registration by selecting "Register Now".
- Fill in your personal and educational details, and upload the required documents.
- Pay the application fee based on your category and submit the form.
- Don't forget to print your application form for future reference.

- Application Correction Period: 25th February to 6th March 2025
Selection Process
The selection process for the RRB Group D posts will include the following stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Document Verification (DV)
- Medical Examination (ME)
1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
Duration: 90 minutes
Total Questions: 100 (Objective Type)
Marking Scheme:
- General Science: 25 Marks
- Mathematics: 25 Marks
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 Marks
- General Awareness & Current Affairs: 20 Marks
Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks for each incorrect answer.
Cut-Off Marks:
- UR/EWS: 40%
- OBC: 30%
- SC/ST: 30%
2. Syllabus for CBT
- Mathematics: Number system, Percentages, Time and Work, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Simple & Compound Interest, etc.
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogies, Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Data Interpretation, etc.
- General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences (Class 10 level)
- General Awareness: Current Affairs, Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Politics, and Economy.
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Based on CBT performance, candidates will be called for PET. The ratio of candidates called for PET will be 3 times the number of vacancies per category.
Male Candidates:
- Carry 35 Kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes.
- Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds.
Female Candidates:
- Carry 20 Kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes.
- Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds.
Note: PET is qualifying in nature. No marks are awarded.
4. Document Verification (DV)
- Candidates who clear the CBT and PET will undergo Document Verification.
- Candidates must present original documents along with two sets of self-attested copies.
- In case two candidates have the same score, the older candidate will be placed higher in merit. If age is the same, alphabetical order will be used.
Final Selection
The final selection will depend on candidates passing the Medical Fitness Test, verification of educational and community certificates, and antecedent verification.
